Content Warnings for LIFE OF BLISS

February 27, 2018 by Erin McLellan

Hiya Everyone!Cover of Life on Pause with two men embracing

Life of Bliss comes out in April and ARCs have recently made their way into the wild, so I want to give a heads-up on some content warnings!

As always, I’m a big fan of trigger and content warnings, and I want any and every reader to be armed with the information they need before diving in. Life of Bliss is a tropetastic and fairly light read, but there are a few content warnings I’d like you to be aware of!

  1. Explicit sex and language
  2. Uneasy relationship with parents.
    • One of the main characters has a stilted relationship with his parents. The main reason for this is his parents’ judgmental attitude surrounding his job, but his sexuality does play a small role in a conversation where he confronts his parents.
  3. Drunk wedding.
    • As you can tell from the blurb of the book, this is a frenemies-with-benefits to fake boyfriends to oops-we-got-married story. It’s pretty clear in the blurb that the two main characters get married after getting drunk, so this is a content warning for alcohol-induced decisions. Likewise, the characters sleep together while both are drunk. This happens off page.

As always, if you need more detail about these content warnings, feel free to contact me via the form here on this website, or you can email me directly at erinmclellanwrites (at) gmail (dot) com.

If you’ve read Life of Bliss and see a warning that I need to include but haven’t, please let me know!
